Skin problems
Itching, redness, hair loss or lumps. Have new changes checked.

Redness, cloudiness, squinting or discharge. Worth an eye check.
Shar-Pei fever
Recurring fever and swollen hocks. Note episodes for the vet.
Joint problems
Stiffness, slower stairs, less jumping. Keep weight down; ask about support.
Food
- A senior food sized for a medium-sized dog.
- Watch the weight; adjust portions as activity drops.
- Joint supplements for mobility.
- Fresh water always in reach.
- Ask about prescription diets if a condition appears.
Exercise and comfort
- Regular but gentler routines.
- A warm, padded bed away from draughts.
