Vomiting, belly pain, off food. Keep fatty foods away.
Diabetes
Drinking and peeing more, weight loss despite a good appetite. Ask for a blood test.
Eye problems
Redness, cloudiness, squinting or discharge. Worth an eye check.
Urinary stones
Straining, blood in urine or frequent small pees. Diet often helps.
Food
- A senior food sized for a small dog.
- Watch the weight; adjust portions as activity drops.
- Small, frequent meals if teeth or appetite fade.
- Fresh water always in reach.
- Ask about prescription diets if a condition appears.
Exercise and comfort
- Regular but gentler routines.
- A warm, padded bed away from draughts.
- Keep up grooming and dental care.
